CHAOS CREATION (FIN)
DEDICATION FOR ANNIHILATION Self financed
Written by Danny Bosters on Tuesday 27 September, 2005. Last updated on Tuesday 27 September, 2005

Chaos Creation is a thrash outfit from Finland. Actually they?re the hard-assed, brain-scrambling moshpatrol from Lappeenranta. Thrash is their thing, and when the band was formed in the summer of 2004, bands such as Vio-Lence, Megadeth, Exodus, Testament, Anthrax and so on were the greatest influences. In the spring of this year they entered the studio and ?Dedication For Annihilation? is their first musical fact.
80?s, Bay Area, thrash, angry. Put these words in a blender, stir it up and you got Chaos Creation. Man, influences from Exodus, Megadeth and Anthrax (and S.O.D.) are flying all over the place, though not all bands are from the Bay area. Definite old style thrash here, with harsh vocals, mid-paced and up-paced with an energetic drive behind it, delivered by the battery man. Sometimes some melodic guitar lines pass you by, but overall you get some angry and aggressive thrash  that pounds your nuts. The songs are written quite well. All have a head and a tail and are filled with cool riffs, pounding drums and flashy solo?s.
Though the music sounds good, well thought-out and is one of my favorite styles, I do have a few remarks about Chaos Creation?s music. At times, and I ain?t talking about something constant, the music makes some tame twists, taking the pace out of the music a bit. Some paces could have used more energy and power and the production could have been better. It?s really suitable for the music (harsh and granular) but could?ve been some more vivid.
All in all, ?Dedication For Annihilation? is a cool demo with four thrashing tracks and a welcome intro, and surely a debut to be proud of, by somehow I feel that this band is capable of more, and aren?t showing it all yet. But that?s for the future to bring. For now, if you?re into old school thrash, Chaos Creation  might just be your thing. Check them out!
