The Danish band  By the Patient has recently released their second EP titled "Catenation of Adversity". In 2008 their first EP "The Carcass Monologue" was released, and according to them this new release is heavier and more brutal. Well, after listening to those five tracks of those young boys, I liked what I've heard. Brutal musical pieces that sounds like a mix of grind and death metal, combined with some melodic moments and sporadic brute breaks, and with a voice that's mostly aggressive, are offering the listeners a varied EP. By the Patient can become a band that strikes you down, but I guess first we'll have to wait and see what their first debut full-length album will bring us, because in less than 15 minutes I can't hear and decide wether this band will be able to kick ass en keep the needed tention and variation in their sound for more than half an hour. But their first introduction to me has begun very promising!
