Marduk was formed in 1990 by Morgan who"s desire it is to create the most blasphemous music ever experienced by mankind. This purpose is definitely made real in the upcoming years. Biography:

Marduk was formed in 1990 by Morgan who"s desire it is to create the most blasphemous music ever experienced by mankind. This purpose is definitely made real in the upcoming years. Already in the beginning, at the release of their demotape "Fuck me Jezus" (banned in 7 countries ! ) and their debut album "Dark endless" their horde of fans is growing rapidly. The style of this first album is being described as speedy, sloppy death metal, with a black metal singer screaming over it. In 1993, after being ripped off by their label, Marduk signs a deal with Osmose productions and records "Those of the unlight". From this moment Marduk is evolving from death to fast, black metal which comes very clear when listening to their 4th album, "Opus nocturne". After "Opus nocturne", Marduk got their current vocalist, Legion, who"s adorable (but thats a personal matter) and able to produce some very nice screaming. In my opinion Marduk then produces their best album which is called " Heaven shall burn ....When whe are gathered". During the tour for this album they record besides the MCD "Glorfication", which consists of a remixed track and some covers, a live album. This album is entitled "Live in Germania" and it proves that Marduk is definitely able to show their fans what they are capable of. Also in 1997, the ancient recording ("91) of "Here"s no peace" is released, a MCD which keeps the waiting at the nex fulllength album certainly more bearable. There next masterpiece "Nightwing" also really touched a (black) nerve. It"s simple, very fast and really great black metal, which I think is the way black metal is meant to sound like. With their next album , in 1999, Marduk releases their most agressive and fastest album, called "Panzer division Marduk". After a lot of touring this year (they played at Dynamo, headlining the black metal stage !!), the band enters the studio to be able to release their MCD "Obedience" , in march, 2000, also very succesfully. After this album they decide to leave Osmose and release their next album "La grande danse macabre" with Morgan"s own label. This album is a bit different from the last one, more melodic, but in a positive way ! After again lots of touring (they performed in Belgium at Graspop which was really great !!)
